Oral Care and Overall Health

Oral-systemic health is the most important advancement in health care since the germ theory of the 1800s.

It now appears that every inflammatory disease is hugely related by oral inflammation, the No.1 source of inflammation in humans.

” Take Inflammation Seriously”

Periodontal Disease and Your Body Health

Like many areas of the body, the mouth is full with bacteria (most of them are harmless) Normally, the body’s natural defenses and good oral healthcare, such as daily brushing and flossing, can keep bacteria under control.

Without proper oral hygiene, high levels of bacteria can produce toxins that irritate the gums and stimulate an inflammatory response.

When the body’s reaction to the microorganism become destructive, supportive tissue and bone around the teeth slowly erode. This not only can lead to loose teeth, but also the bacteria entering to the blood stream, becomes transient and targets distant organs. Thus, putting the patient’s health at risk.
